Pattern Description
The Beau Vest is an oversized pullover vest with ties on each side. It is meant to have a positive ease of about 5-10 inches. If you would like it to be fitted, you should size down. The Beau Vest is perfect to wear over a sweater with jeans or over your favourite dress. This garment is made in one piece starting with the back panel. Next each shoulder is stitched followed by the front panel. The front panel is 4 rows shorter than the back for extra style! To finish off this adorable vest, a single crochet ribbing is added to the collar and the bottom of the front and back panel followed by a half double crochet edging on the left and right sides of the vest. 4 ties are made separately and then sewed on in your desired position. This is a great beginner friendly project that is super fast and easy to make.
Materials:
*6.00mm(U.S J/10) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
*5.00mm(U.S H/8) for the ribbing
*Aran Yarn. I used Stylecraft Special Aran with Wool in the colour Spearmint (5509). 816m/892yds/400g per skein. See chart in the photos for approximately how much yarn you will need.
*tapestry needle
