*3.5mm crochet hook (or one size smaller than the hook used for your gauge) for the edging
*I used Paintbox Yarns Simply Dk in the colour Vanilla Cream (107). 0-3 Months (75g), 3-6 Months (85g), 6-9 (95g), 9-12Months (105g), 12-18 Months (115g)
*tapestry needle

17 stitches/17 rows= 10cmX10cm (4X4 inch) square in half double crochet underneath the 3 loops.
