Mama Beau Vest Crochet Pattern
This listing is for a digital crochet pattern to make the Mama Beau Vest, an adult version of my original children’s Beau Vest design.
After receiving so many messages asking for a grown-up version, I knew I had to create one… and I’m so glad I did.
This vest keeps everything that made the original so special — the beautiful texture, the simplicity, and that timeless handmade feel — but reimagined for adults with a softer drape and a more flattering, wearable fit.
Worked in DK weight yarn rather than aran, the fabric feels lighter and more fluid, making it incredibly comfortable to wear. It has an intentionally oversized fit, designed to layer effortlessly over blouses, dresses, or knitwear.
This is a fully supported premium pattern, including detailed photographs and multiple step-by-step video tutorials to guide you through key stages of the project.
The vest is worked in one piece, beginning with the back panel. The shoulders are then formed, and the front panel is worked across the shoulders and neckline.
Simple ribbing and finishing details are added at the end, creating a clean, polished finish.

Sizes Included
XS – to fit chest 71–76 cm (28–30 inches)
S – to fit chest 81–86 cm (32–34 inches)
M – to fit chest 92–97 cm (36–38 inches)
L – to fit chest 102–107 cm (40–42 inches)
XL – to fit chest 112–117 cm (44–46 inches)
The vest is designed to fit with approximately 18–22 cm (7–9 inches) of positive ease. Please refer to the size chart in the listing photos for full measurements.
For best results, always choose your size by chest measurement rather than standard sizing.
Materials Required
• 5.0 mm (US H/8) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
• DK weight yarn
The sample shown is made using Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK. You may substitute with any DK weight yarn that meets gauge.
