***Model wears xs/s***
Cozy oversized crochet cardigan Sizes include xs/x, s-m/m, l/xl and 2x/3x. The front of the cardigan is left open so see the chart in the pictures to see cardigans shoulder-shoulder measurement.
Construction
The back of the cardigan is stitched first. This is a simple rectangle shape. When the back is complete the front right hand panel and then the front left hand panel are stitched. At this point the front panels are seamed to the back panel, leaving an armhole for each arm. Now each sleeve is stitched directly onto the armholes. When the sleeves are complete, a single crochet ribbed edging is made along the bottom followed by a ribbed edge stitched up the left inside edge, around the neck and down the right hand edge.
Fit
The cardigan is meant to be very loose and long. The sleeves are made extra long so you can fold them up into a thick cuff. The front of the cardigan is left open.
Materials:
*5.00mm(U.S H/8) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
*DK yarn. I used The Women’s Institute Premium Acrylic Yarn in the colour Vanilla (103). See chart in the photos for approximately how much yarn you will need.
*tapestry needle
*stitch marker

16 stitches/12 rows= 10cmX10cm (4X4 inch) square in alternating rows of half double crochet and half double crochet and chain one skip one stitch. (Sweet Cecilia Stitch) All hdc sts should be stitched beneath the three loops of the previous row. There is a video tutorial on how to do this stitch pattern in the pattern.
