Pattern Description
The Marion Dress is a stunning, timeless crochet dress. The lace detailing is so romantic. When designing this dress I had a beautiful wedding in my head and the flower girls were wearing this dress. It would also be a gorgeous Christening/Baptismal crochet gown if you make the skirt extra long. The dress is made from the top down in a raglan style. Though the stitches are very simple (only single crochet, half double, double and chains), this design is better suited for an intermediate crocheter. The shell lace is created with two rows of stitches that repeat. You may also want to make the matching Marion Bonnet!
Materials:
*4.00mm (U.S. G-6) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
*DK yarn. I used We Crochet CotLin in the colour Swan (24134)
See chart below for approximately how much yarn you will need.
*tapestry needle
*10 stitch markers
Gauge:
16 sts/14 rows= 10cmX10cm (4X4 inch) in hdc
