Materials:
*4.00mm (U.S -G-6) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
*Aran (worsted weight) yarn. I used MillaMia Naturally Soft Aran - Colour Marine Blue (210). An alternative that is a little more wallet friendly is Paintbox Simply Aran.
*6-10 buttons (2.5cm/0.75in)
*tapestry needle
Gauge:
15 stitches/10 rows= 10cmX10cm (4X4 inch) square in double crochet between the posts.

st or sts- stitch or stitches ch- chain stitch
sl st- slip stitch
sk-skip
sc- single crochet
hdc- half double crochet
dc- double crochet
dc2tog- double crochet two stitches together RS- right side of the jacket
WS- wrong side of the jacket
RSM- remove stitch marker
PSM- place stitch marker
