How It’s Made
The coat is worked from the top down beginning with a raglan yoke. After the sleeves are separated, the body continues in moss stitch before forming a back vent for ease of movement.
The design is finished with a soft collar, ribbed sleeve cuffs, and practical front pockets.
Materials You’ll Need
• 5.0 mm (US H/8) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
• Aran / worsted weight yarn
• 5–9 buttons (approximately 2.5 cm / 1 inch)
• Stitch markers
• Tapestry needle
The sample shown is made using Paintbox Simply Aran in the colour Light Caramel, but you may substitute any yarn that meets the required gauge.
Gauge
20 stitches and 18 rows = 10 cm x 10 cm (4 x 4 inches) in granite (moss) stitch.
